General and internal medicine
General medicine is the field of medicine involving long-term and general medical care. The general practitioner is a health specialist who provides preventive care, treatment and follow-up with the goal of ensuring a patient’s long-term health and well-being.
Internal medicine deals with all types of clinical problems except those involving surgery. At CMEV, the specialist in internal medicine takes a global approach to the patient which comprises diagnosis, detailed investigation, a summary of the clinical problems and initiation and monitoring of the treatment. Internists work with other specialists and experts where necessary to achieve this global approach. They have an unequalled technical platform and are able to carry out specialised and fast examinations.
