Types of cancers

Basically the term cancer refers to all kinds of solid tumours that develop malignantly from a histopathological perspective. The most common types of cancer (breast, prostate, rectal, lung, ear, nose, and throat cancer) require external irradiation at one time or another during the general course of treatment, although less-common malignant tumours (such as brain, lymphatic system or uterus tumours) are also often treated using ionising radiation.

As a result, there is a long list of cancers that we can treat here at the Centre d'oncologie des Eaux-Vives. The specific method of treatment to be administered depends on how the cancer has developed, its size at the time of diagnosis, and its level of local, biological aggression.
